We don’t like to keep decorating the tree with the same ornaments over and over again, right?Although the ornaments can be expensive and it becomes pointless to spend that much amount of money in baubles when it could be saved or use for presents. Also, if you keep buying new baubles every year you’ll start to have a collection of old ones that will never get to see the light of day again. I own about 4 sets of baubles in different colours from red, purple, gold and silver. Without mentioning the older bits and pieces that just appeared. Some offered by my grandparents and other I have no idea. Bottom line, I always try to decorate the tree differently every year and I don’t know how but I have been managing to do it. Merry Christmas, Happy Blogmas!! We are back on the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas music blasting from the speakers, the shops are fully decorated, the fire is cracking and the TV only streams Christmas movies. It’s the best. I can’t even believe today is the first day of The 12 Crafty Days aka blogmas. As I said before in my announcement post, today won’t be a craft, instead of a little walk through what I have done to decorate my office for this special occasion. Although at the time, I ended up not posting a review of the book, even though, I enjoy it more than I thought I would. When I heard that Dan was releasing another Robert Langon adventure I wasn’t particularly excited. I knew I would like the book, but it wasn’t on the top of my list to buy. When I read the first chapter on the WHSmith blog, it got me hooked. The book takes place in Barcelona, but the first building Langon visits it’s the Guggenheim Museum, in Bilbao. It might not be a big deal for you, but the architect in me got really excited to read this book.

We are more than halfway through November and the days are getting cosier each time. And although I’m up for a mystery at any time of the year, it somehow gets extra special in the cold months. So today I want to talk about different types of mysteries on books, movies/tv series, and games. By different types I mean ways to present the story regardless who’s the murderer or how strange was the crime. So I’m not looking to original crimes for example committed by aliens or the bigfoot – strange choices – what I do care about is how the story develops to the reader/view/gamer. Also, keep in mind that I haven’t read every single mystery book or saw every mystery film/series so I might be missing some. One thing that you won’t find here on the blog is topics/things that I don’t like to talk about, either if it’s bad or good. If I have something to say I probably will make a post about it. So when a book or a movie excites me I want to make a review because I need to talk. You already know by the title that I saw Murder on the Orient Express and I wasn’t this excited/thrilled/pumped to see a movie in a long time. It has been a while since I write a post like this. Although I love to chat about books, series, and craft, the posts I more enjoy reading are the ones about life. These are the kind of stories that get you to know the person on the other side of the screen and have a chance to connect with. I know Autumn started more than a month ago but I can’t avoid posting this DIY. I’m been meaning to do this and putting it off for so long. I love having a hot cup of tea by my side but that also mean cup stains on the table. For the sake of my tables, I wanted to do cute Autumnal coasters to use around this time. I know it’s already November and in 21 days I need to change it for the Christmas decor, but Winter officially starts on the 21st of December so I still have time. And to help me with that, I’m going to travel throughout the world to find traditions and/or activities that make people happier. I’m taking this journey through books in order to learn new cultures and people. This time is Denmark, with The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking, the president of the Happiness Research Institute. Happiness consists more in small conveniences or pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom to a man in the course of his life. Benjamin Franklin Meik ends the book with this quote which I believe sums up not just hygge but how you can conquer happiness in your own life.
