Science-fiction has been growing over the years, gathering more viewers and getting more and more ambitious as technology evolves. Slowly, I’ve been diving into the movies from “the good old days” when my mother was old enough to watch them, and I probably wasn’t born yet. When Independence Day came out on theatres, I was one-year-old, a tiny little person that couldn’t even speak, let alone be interested in sci-fi. I wanted to eat and sleep, those were my priorities, so it was many years later that I stumbled across this movie. I don’t remember exactly when I first saw it, but since then I’m probably on my 4th rerun of this great sci-fi piece. And just last week it was on TV again, so I saw it as an opportunity to refresh my memory and do a review. Synopsis: The communication systems worldwide are experiencing atmospheric interference caused by …
It’s been almost two and a half months since I read and saw Ready Player One and I’m finally ready to talk about it. I’m sure you know the feeling of loving a story so much and being so invested in the world and the characters that it hurts. You just want to read it all, no matter if it’s getting to the end because you only care about knowing the whole story. And then… BAM! A punch right in the feelings. There isn’t anything else to discover, no more story. Then you realise the world is not real, the characters aren’t real, and that real life sucks, now you are upset. And it gets painful to remember that nothing is real. So, instead of keep crawling back inside the book, I prefer to move on and then, after a while, I can talk non stop about it without any …
One thing that you won’t find here on the blog is topics/things that I don’t like to talk about, either if it’s bad or good. If I have something to say I probably will make a post about it. So when a book or a movie excites me I want to make a review because I need to talk. You already know by the title that I saw Murder on the Orient Express and I wasn’t this excited/thrilled/pumped to see a movie in a long time. I had super very high (of the roof) expectations for this movie. I never read any of Agatha Christie’s novels – which I no longer can say – but I watched the ITV Miss Marple series and it changed my life. The unique kind of way telling mystery stories made me fall in love with the author and his creations. I was a little …
This review comes really late. I saw the movie on the 12th of June and I thought I would fail. I never saw a Pirate of the Caribbean in theatres and this was my chance before they decide to put an end to the saga. I never thought they would produce another movie and the fourth one was already a surprise, so when Disney dropped the news about another movie I was thrilled with excitement. Therefore, today is finally the day I share with you, my thoughts and opinions about the newest movie of Pirates of The Caribbeans: Dead Men Tell No Tales. To start off, I’ve realised at the end of the movie that they use another name for the fifth instalment Salazar’s Revenge. With a bit of search, I found out Disney changed the title for the UK version because of some trademark issues. Either way, the movie …
I just saw this movie a couple of days ago and I needed to write about it. I feel I’m going to explode! There is so much stuff to talk about I don’t even know where to start! First of all my expectations were again really low as they were 2 years ago for 50 Shades of Grey. For a few moments I thought it would be more of the same: pretended sex, an exaggerated amount of sex scenes, bondage, lack of sexual tension between the actors, misunderstood storyline and overall a bad movie. This sounds strange but with all this in mind and a lot more, I was excited for the next one. Until I saw the trailer… I got disappointed right away. It was looking nothing like the first one, it was looking like they were actually creating a real story, a romantic story and the sex was …
