Long time no see! It has been ages since I’ve written anything on this little corner of the internet. I was expecting to take at least a two weeks break before Christmas, turns out it became an extended pause. Between two part-time jobs, a 25 hours curse, the usual Holiday madness, and family emergencies, December flew by. When January arrived everything slowed down, but I still kept on delaying my come back over and over again. Hopefully, this February is going to be my return to old routines and my usual schedule. I feel like November completely slipt away between my fingers. This was a really odd month, and I don’t understand how are we already in December. I guess life just happened and the brain was put on hold. All the books I was planning on reading now seem like a joke that I told myself in October. O.M.G. I opened an Etsy shop! I’m so f*ing scared right now. It’s such a big step. This isn’t playing with dolls anymore. I actually have a little shop online where people can buy stuff made by me. I can sell to anyone all over the world. I. Am. Terrified. I can’t believe this day actually came. Since I discovered Etsy it was always in the back of my mind trying out to open a little shop there, although I never knew what to sell. But that thought was always just that, a thought. Last year, I graduated from Uni and took a gap year to focus on the blog and see if it was something that I would like to invest for real. I don’t know what it is about science fiction, but the shows have the tendency to be short. Sci-fi is one of my favourite genres, and it breaks my heart every time a TV series gets cancelled just because they didn’t meet the numbers the company wished for (it also happens with all genres, but today I want to focus on this one). Another harsh realisation is that TV series produced in the US only track the viewership inside the country. Since I live in Portugal, when the shows are broadcasted here, it doesn’t matter if it has a great success or not when it’s time to decide to renew the show for another season.

If you don’t know this yet, Ransom Riggs released last month the fourth book in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series. After 3 years since Library of Souls, he signed a three-book deal to continue with the story for a while longer. For me, Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series are the original three books (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Hollow City, and Library of Souls) the only ones that I read and that I’m going to write about today. These three new books start where Library of Souls left off, but I consider them a new series. All the questions that I had since the first book are answered, so that story is closed. How crazy is it that we are already in November? Halloween is gone, we officially can start thinking about Christmas, and then it’s New Year. We are two months away from 2019, and I feel that I haven’t got used to writing 2018 and we are about to change again. Before I get ahead of myself lets take it easy and talk about my reading plans for November.

Since I started writing my Monthly Wrap-ups in October, 2 years ago, it feels right to change the format in the same month. If you have seen my previous ones, I include the books I read, any books I might have to haul, books that I discovered recently (aka Caught on my radar), and finally my TBR. Until a couple of months ago, everything was fine, although I started to notice that my posts have the tendency to get quite big, therefore I thought it was finally time to split the post into two. My relationship with The 100 started off in 2014 shortly after the conclusion of the first season. I was series-less, and a friend recommended me to watch it, and I binged the all thing in two days (just because I had to sleep). Although, I can’t remember when did I become aware the show was based on a book by Kass Morgan. Since then, all I ever wanted to do was to pick up the book. However, you don’t need to do much research to discover that both stories mostly have the name in common and nothing else. And this was a risk for me. I was completely in love with the TV series, and I didn’t want to lose that love for finding the books better or the other way around.
