Finally, we are in October! The best month of the year. Do you want to know why? No.1: Autumn. The greatest season of all. No.2: It’s my birth month, and everyone loves their birth month, especially since it means gifts – I already have books that I’m giving to myself on the way. No.3: It’s when I started my blog and also these monthly wrap-ups (changes coming next month!). No, I’m not going to say Halloween not because I don’t like it, instead because it’s not celebrated in Portugal the same way it’s celebrated in other countries. Although, I’m still planning on reading some spooky books – I might not do Halloween, but I’m not a monster. Before I continue to talk about my passion for October, I need to tell you all about the books from September. Wrap-Up When I think about September, I think I had a pretty …

I can’t believe this is the final part of my Most Anticipated Book Releases of 2018! I had so much fun to dive into lists and lists of books from authors I never heard of and from others that already have a little place in my heart. I got to know so many new and exciting books that I can’t wait to read some very hyped and others that should have been. These final three months are full of mystery, thriller, suspense, crime, secrets, sci-fi, romance, ghosts, and travel. For sure, this “series” is going to continue next year although with a few changes. So for one last time, here are my most anticipated reads of 2018.

Another month has passed, and I still haven’t had a single summer day. I know the Northen Europe is under a big heat wave but here in the Southwest things aren’t that great. Clouds in the morning, clouds in the afternoon, and when the wind doesn’t show up, you get to feel the sun a little bit. While I wait for the summer to finally arrive is better to distract my mind with books. And since the BookTube-A-Thon is finally here, I’m in full bookworm mode.

Is it just me or just yesterday we were starting the month of June? I’m starting to get really confused about the time. Maybe is the summer vacations starting that is messing up my mind or just life distracting me all the time. Either way, June is long gone and we are already in July… But seriously I fell like just a week ago, I wrote my May Wrap-Up and now I’m here writing the June one. All of this is making my brain hurt, so it’s better if I start this wrap-up.

It has come the time once again to browse online to find the upcoming releases of the next three months. And either you like or not, the summer calls for two genres, contemporary and mystery. You can enjoy a lovey-dovey story next to the poll or unravel a murder while making sand castles. At least I know that my mood is calling out for them. I’m getting so excited to go to the beach or stay outdoors enjoying the sun and getting temporarily blind because of the extremely white pages.

It’s been almost two and a half months since I read and saw Ready Player One and I’m finally ready to talk about it. I’m sure you know the feeling of loving a story so much and being so invested in the world and the characters that it hurts. You just want to read it all, no matter if it’s getting to the end because you only care about knowing the whole story. And then… BAM! A punch right in the feelings. There isn’t anything else to discover, no more story. Then you realise the world is not real, the characters aren’t real, and that real life sucks, now you are upset. And it gets painful to remember that nothing is real. So, instead of keep crawling back inside the book, I prefer to move on and then, after a while, I can talk non stop about it without any …

Holly molly, May is already over. This was one of the busiest months so far and I can’t believe it’s already over. In book-wise, actually wasn’t the happiest. I don’t know what is happening to me, I feel that I’ve spent this year so far inside a big reading slump – even though my Goodreads tells me I already read 15 books. My TBR pile is growing, I’m still buying books like the world is going to end, and I keep looking out for more books I don’t know to buy later. But I’m not reading any! Can you see my problem??

How is it possible that April feels longer than the first three months of the year? I swear last month took soooo long to pass, but at the same time, how on earth is already May?? And I already have plans for every week of the month, not kidding. My social life is on fire this month, which means I’ll be able to hibernate for the rest of the year. Jokes aside, I have no idea how my reading is going to be. What I do know is how April has been, so let’s dive into it.

I’m sorry for what it’s coming next. In honour of today’s celebrations, I have to say this. This year, Easter must be a joke! Ok, I’m done. So sorry about this, let’s move on. Another month has ended, so it’s time to do an overall of all the books I read, bought, and discover.

Finally, April is upon us! I’ve been dying to publish this post. I started making this list shortly after I post the first part and now here we are. For me, the end of the month is always so excited. I have the opportunity to talk books non-stop and share any new books that caught my eye and will probably take my money away. Even though I’m still a little bit stuck in a reading slump, it doesn’t demolish me from searching for more books to grow even more my Goodreads shelf.

January is already over, and we are left in the couple’s month. Speaking of which, it remains me that we are only a week away from the last 50 Shades of Grey movie. Guess who’s not going to be near a theatre in the premier day? This girl! I might go watch it but after all the rush. Changing the subject, January was not a great reading month for me. I got myself stuck in a reading slump, and I’m still gathering the strength to unwind from my life while lost between pages. I read 3 short stories by Portuguese authors because I could ditch them in half an hour. And I also need to read more Portuguese authors. It’s great to read what is hot right now, but I should know authors from my country.
