Reading the entire book series that inspired what once was one of my favourite TV shows of all time was something I wanted to do for a long time. Ever since I discovered that The 100 was based on a book series with the same name, I wanted to spend more time in this virgin version of Earth. I’ve talked about what I enjoyed the most and disliked about the TV show, and now, after almost 3 years, I’ve read the entire book series. September was a fairly good reading month for me, and that gives me a reason to write a monthly wrap-up. I skipped doing this post in August because I barely read anything. It was one hell of an exhausting month and trying to read was a challenge on its own. I couldn’t read more than 3 pages without start closing my eyes. It was amazing that I even managed to finish anything. August On the first days of the month, I finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Tailor Jenkins Reid that I had started in Jully. I had a great time reading it. Evelyn is one of my favourite characters of all time, and you can know all about it on my review. I loved Evelyn, but I didn’t love the book as much as I did love her. My relationship with The 100 started off in 2014 shortly after the conclusion of the first season. I was series-less, and a friend recommended me to watch it, and I binged the all thing in two days (just because I had to sleep). Although, I can’t remember when did I become aware the show was based on a book by Kass Morgan. Since then, all I ever wanted to do was to pick up the book. However, you don’t need to do much research to discover that both stories mostly have the name in common and nothing else. And this was a risk for me. I was completely in love with the TV series, and I didn’t want to lose that love for finding the books better or the other way around.
