On one peaceful day, I was scrolling down my Twitter like I enjoy doing every morning. When I was giving up and put down my phone, one little thing caught my attention: a tweet from Carve The Mark Books. They were asking for everyone who hasn’t received their copy of We Can Be Mended to send them the confirmation email from the pre-order of Carve The Mark. I just jump out of bed, grab my computer and went to my email account to do what they were asking. Over a month had passed and my hope was fading away. I thought for some reason I wasn’t going to get it. But that glorious morning I got thrilled with excitement and filled with hope again. It was on the end of that same day my mother sent me a picture of the book. He had finally come!! I was in heaven!! …

February is over which means Spring is just around the corner and I’m pretty excited to leave my heavier coats at home. So long chill and crisped weather, hello rain and sunshine! Today this blog post is going to get on that note. Flowers are starting to blossom and I don’t want to miss that. So right now I’m on the hunt for the PERFECT book to take out on a romantic walk in the nearest city park. I’m trying so hard not to pick The French Gardener by Santa Montefiore and reread it – not that it isn’t a good idea I just think I should explore other titles. Since I’m talking about what to read next, I might as well start with my March want-to readings. First one: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! I bought this book in OCTOBER and I HAVEN’T READ IT YET! I’ve delayed it and …

Originaly posted on Black Leaves Tea Blog   Today I publish my 100th post on Black Leaves Tea and to celebrate that mark I thought it would be interesting to talk about my blogging journey. This blog is up since 2015, but I started way back when I was between 10 to 12 years old, maybe. I would love to be more precise but I’ve already deleted it – I think… It was really BAD! I can’t recall how I discover blogging but I know I created one at school for an IT class and by that time I already have been playing with it before. I remember my first topic/niche was about Manga/anime. Back then I was starting to know more about it and loving it. Nowadays I still enjoy it A LOT and I get obsessed with some stories but is a side of me that I usually …

I just saw this movie a couple of days ago and I needed to write about it. I feel I’m going to explode! There is so much stuff to talk about I don’t even know where to start! First of all my expectations were again really low as they were 2 years ago for 50 Shades of Grey. For a few moments I thought it would be more of the same: pretended sex, an exaggerated amount of sex scenes, bondage, lack of sexual tension between the actors, misunderstood storyline and overall a bad movie. This sounds strange but with all this in mind and a lot more, I was excited for the next one. Until I saw the trailer… I got disappointed right away. It was looking nothing like the first one, it was looking like they were actually creating a real story, a romantic story and the sex was …

Hiding herself behind the glasses, Audrey struggles every day with an anxiety disorder that locked her away from the world. Step by step, she’s fighting her battle with the help of her family and Dr Sarah. Until one day when she meets Linus. To be honest I wasn’t expecting the story to be soo eye opening. It approaches how bullying can affect people, creating new problems, especially psychological problems, and how those problems after everyone around. Despite the lighted way Kinsella wrote the story and how wonderfully well all ended, the topic is pretty serious and isn’t any fairy tale. Bullying is awful and we all know that but how aware are we about the consequences?? A teenager being bullied every day in school will have problems in his life and them won’t go away by just crying to sleep. In the next day when he woke up, we will …

Today I bring to you my review of Let It Snow. Since I finished it I wasn’t quite sure if I should do a review or not so I’ve been delaying to hit the publish buttom. Christmas, the day I should end reading this book. Well… it turned out to be the first book I finished in 2017. I actually got pretty disappointed with myself for not accomplish such simple goal, after all, I just needed to read. Sad story aside is time to talk about the book. It was the first book I read in English by choice, I mean not the first one ever because I had read other books for school – obligated to read – and I enjoy it. It’s a great way to improve my English and I got to get to know another writing method different from what I’m used to. After all, in …

Since last year I’ve been seeing DIY for making small sized Christmas trees you can use to decorate your desk for example. They are so simple and cute to made I could let this year pass by without making them. I made both trees in less than 2 hours so is the perfect craft for a last minute decor. Supplies: Felt (dark green and blue) Scissors Cocktail Sticks Circular Wood piece (30mm diameter) Glue Decorative Stars Needle Pencil Each layer of the tree is made with a square shape smaller near the top. I started with a 12cm square and took 1cm each new square so, in the end, I got 12 squares from 12 cm to 1cm – from the bottom to the top. So I start drawing all the squares I need in the felt and them cut them out. With the help of a needle open a …

I don’t know how I did it but I made it!! I accomplished my goal settled for this month !! Hupp hupp, I’m so happy!! It was sad the end of Allegiant but it was worth it. If you want to know more I did a review on Monday. I was getting so tired of reading the books. I just read Allegiant right after I finished Insurgent  I actually can’t even remember reading the end of Insurgent. Is so strange. And jumping right from one to the other without any break kinda feel I’ve been reading a big hole book with 800 pages (probably the size of both books together) and the second book being so… – I don’t want to say boring because it wasn’t – steady and it was so slow – again I have a review of it – there wasn’t as many shocking situations and emotions …

Today is time to do another book review, the final and BEST Divergent Trilogy book: Allegiant. I've seen reviews saying it was an excellent book to others saying it was the worst book ever. I think is one of those controversial books. It doesn't mean is bad is just different than usual so the people tend to react in more diverse ways.
