I am so confused! March is already over and it felt so short and at the same time so long. I guess this was a big month for me, and unfortunately, the number of books I read didn’t match its length. Luckily, I’ve been in such a great reading mood that will help me a lot in April. I want to spend all my time reading, but I do fill very guilty to spend a lot of time reading instead of doing something productive. It’s the ultimate struggle!! I just hope I can take advantage of this mood and shorten my unread pile of books. Wrap-Up I finished two books this month that I didn’t even remember. Otherworld by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller was a great book to melt my geek heart. It wasn’t as amazing as Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, but I had a blast reading …
February was one of the strangest and longest months ever – I know the irony. I’m still trying to switch my brain back to DIYing and blogging which it’s surprisingly hard. But thankfully during my break, I didn’t stop reading, so that part of my brain is still intact. I’ve read somewhere that one way to create a reading habit is to read when you’re feeling bored, to make the brain associate reading as something to take you out of the boredom. Although when I’m bored, I don’t want to pick a book because I’m bored! Do you see my problem? Well, this is a really long intro just to say that I’ve only read ONE book this month and wasn’t even good. *facepalm* As I usually like to do, I’m currently in the middle of three books, but only managed to finish one, After by Anna Todd. If you …
Thank you, next! Thank you, next! Thank you, next! I’m so. f*ckin’. grateful. for my ex… I’ve just watched Ariana Grande newest music video, and it’s great! The music is such a mood! This is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Although I’m not here to write about Ariana’s new song, and instead to gush about books. TBR Here we are in December, and here I am throwing away my autumnal TBR out of the window. In my September Wrap-Up, I was planning a TBR for the newly began season that I was going to read until the last day of Autumn, December 21st. First I thought I was doing great but we are already in December, and it means I only have 21 days to finish that TBR although I want to read something else to get me in the Christmas spirit. …
I feel like November completely slipt away between my fingers. This was a really odd month, and I don’t understand how are we already in December. I guess life just happened and the brain was put on hold. All the books I was planning on reading now seem like a joke that I told myself in October. I barely picked a book on my spare time, I was constantly thinking I had other things to do, and I couldn’t spend time reading. So here we are. Wrap-Up I don’t even know what to do with Snow Flower and The Secret Fan anymore. I started this book in September, read about 30 pages, didn’t pick it up in October nor November. I was enjoying the book it was just taking me too long to read a single page because I had to look up what every other word meant. The book …
How crazy is it that we are already in November? Halloween is gone, we officially can start thinking about Christmas, and then it’s New Year. We are two months away from 2019, and I feel that I haven’t got used to writing 2018 and we are about to change again. Before I get ahead of myself lets take it easy and talk about my reading plans for November.
Finally, we are in October! The best month of the year. Do you want to know why? No.1: Autumn. The greatest season of all. No.2: It’s my birth month, and everyone loves their birth month, especially since it means gifts – I already have books that I’m giving to myself on the way. No.3: It’s when I started my blog and also these monthly wrap-ups (changes coming next month!). No, I’m not going to say Halloween not because I don’t like it, instead because it’s not celebrated in Portugal the same way it’s celebrated in other countries. Although, I’m still planning on reading some spooky books – I might not do Halloween, but I’m not a monster. Before I continue to talk about my passion for October, I need to tell you all about the books from September. Wrap-Up When I think about September, I think I had a pretty …
It’s that time again to open my Goodreads page and see what books have I shelved and how many have I read this month. Thanks to the BookTube-A-Thon in the first week of August, I managed to read more than on an average month. Even though I was excited about the readathon and all the reading sprints and stuff, I didn’t participate in anything. When I wanted to read there weren’t any reading sprints happening, and when I did catch them I wasn’t in the mood to read for 20 minutes and stop, I wanted to keep on going. So in reality, the reading sprints did nothing for me. Although, I still finished two books I’m very happy about and a couple more in the remaining days of the month. Wrap-Up I didn’t read all seven books I was planning to for BTAT, but I enjoyed a lot of what …
Another month has passed, and I still haven’t had a single summer day. I know the Northen Europe is under a big heat wave but here in the Southwest things aren’t that great. Clouds in the morning, clouds in the afternoon, and when the wind doesn’t show up, you get to feel the sun a little bit. While I wait for the summer to finally arrive is better to distract my mind with books. And since the BookTube-A-Thon is finally here, I’m in full bookworm mode.
Is it just me or just yesterday we were starting the month of June? I’m starting to get really confused about the time. Maybe is the summer vacations starting that is messing up my mind or just life distracting me all the time. Either way, June is long gone and we are already in July… But seriously I fell like just a week ago, I wrote my May Wrap-Up and now I’m here writing the June one. All of this is making my brain hurt, so it’s better if I start this wrap-up.
Holly molly, May is already over. This was one of the busiest months so far and I can’t believe it’s already over. In book-wise, actually wasn’t the happiest. I don’t know what is happening to me, I feel that I’ve spent this year so far inside a big reading slump – even though my Goodreads tells me I already read 15 books. My TBR pile is growing, I’m still buying books like the world is going to end, and I keep looking out for more books I don’t know to buy later. But I’m not reading any! Can you see my problem??
How is it possible that April feels longer than the first three months of the year? I swear last month took soooo long to pass, but at the same time, how on earth is already May?? And I already have plans for every week of the month, not kidding. My social life is on fire this month, which means I’ll be able to hibernate for the rest of the year. Jokes aside, I have no idea how my reading is going to be. What I do know is how April has been, so let’s dive into it.
For me, the end of the month is always so excited. I have the opportunity to talk books non-stop and share any new books that caught my eye and will probably take my money away. Even though I’m still a little bit stuck in a reading slump, it doesn’t demolish me from searching for more books to grow even more my Goodreads shelf.
